A note to most women. Especially mothers and mothers to be.

Recently I was thinking about somethings and I just stumbled on "strict mothers" .. There's absolutely nothing wrong with correcting your child, I as a person, am going to be a strict mum with what people around me tell me. But some mothers take it to the worst level that their kids would be extremely scared to share things with them most especially when it's dealing with the opposite sex which is really bad because they tend to make decisions themselves instead of asking their mothers for advice.

But how do you ask your mother if she's so strict and you are scared of her reaction ?

I was speaking to a very close friend of mine, she is in a serious relationship, so I was just like "have you told your mum" she said no o please, I don't want trouble blah blah in my mind am like what? At what age? Would you marry your mum?

75% of the people I know that have strict mums do the worst things! It's not their fault tbh, it's because they don't really have someone to explain to, I am forever thankful for my mum. She doesn't even fancy somethings but I can genuinely talk to her about any man because she wouldn't be judging me because am opening up to her. Mothers should please try to be free, all this things that you don't want to say to your daughters, they would learn it faster from the outer world and it would almost destroy some of them. How would somebody be in high school, about to graduate and you wouldn't know anything about sex?  Lol! Are you joking? ..Some of them know even more than their parents lol! Its amazing because some mothers are trying to teach their daughters but you are doing it the wrong way, 14/15 is not too early to start talking to your daughters about sex etc even if they don't talk to you about it, but you as a mother you are doing your path. Don't let someone teach you daughter because you just believe she's too young to know, this days people are 12/13 and they know different sexual stuff, it's amazing , the world has changed but don't let it affect you.

I understand that some women were raised by strict mothers too so that's probably why they are strict, being strict is a good thing to be honest, but there's a way to balance being strict and being free with your kids. Some women are way too strict.

Have time for your daughters, observe them and try to talk to them about things, advice them about boys even if they wouldn't tell you about their relationship, but you aren't deceiving your self that they don't know it. I look at some of my friends mum and am just amazed lol! They don't know anything. No one is a saint but they are way too strict and it's affecting their daughters so much, I pray for us that would just be mothers anytime soon, may God keep guiding us and help us train our daughters well. Being a strict mum doesn't mean your child wouldn't be loose, because " I would still do what is in my mind anayway, no one can see me" so you could as well talk to them about it than hearing all they've done later in future and now regretting .

May God help us! Please read and share! Thanks!

  1. I can testify to having a strict mom. Indeed strict mom's do deprive their children of finding a friend in their mothers... It took me 3 years to tell my mom about my relationship and it has always been hard yo sit and talk to her about anything because the fear of rejection and comments that would not sit well at heart.
There is nothing wrong with being strict but to a limit.

    Thanks DamStar

Independent woman!

I don't blog on Sunday's but I had to just put up this story and I want it to get to as many people as possible so because of that, there wouldn't be any story up until upper week :).   Every day of my life since have been growing into a woman, I have always imagined myself as a very strong and independent woman. I don't like depending on people at all, I hate it! If you ask my parents am sure they would tell you, i just love to do things on my own because that brings no dissappointment.. Parents dissappoint, friends dissappoint, even partners and siblings dissappoint the only person that doesn't dissappoint is God and I know he has my back. Growing up has shown me so many things and how people can be, it's even the ones that you really love deeply that start showing you that you don't really mean anything to them, some wouldn't even want to talk to you because you probably forgot to message or something and it's even worse because you even ask peopl...

"Hi Dami, please share this with people, I need advice "...

Hello beautiful people! Someone needs for advice, just one person can make a difference so put yourself in her shoes and tell her what you think or send it to me personally, I'ld get it across to her.  Hmmmmmmm! When I got this I starred for a while because I'm not a relationship expert but I guess people would share how they feel about this. Below is what was sent to me by a lady yesterday morning.  " So I met the so-close-to-perfect man just a while back. I mean the one that opens doors for you, carries your bag as you take a stroll down the street, puts on your shoes for you, brushes your hair for you; I mean the all round good man. But you know what they say, no one is entirely perfect. Rewind to the wooing days, I clearly told him I am a virgin with no intention of having sexual intercourse anytime soon, preferably till marriage. My man was happy! In his words, "so I'll be the one launching you till forever". Fast forward to a month after, thin...
