Do you think 22 is too early for marriage? What age do you think is the best for a woman to get married?
Hello beautiful people ..
So I've been thinking of this topic for a while, and luckily for me one of my friends (very close and good friend) got engaged today. Bridesmaid duties #Yipeeeee lol! She is 22 and she is done with both bachelors and Nysc just remaining masters.
I used it as my dp, only for people to message me and say it's too early.
Hmmmm... Me I don't use to like all those too early marriage o because you don't even have enough time to see the real world sef but some people don't mind. Speaking to her mum, her mum is very happy and ready to start planning the marriage as soon as possible. She says there's no age for marriage, once you've found the right person and you are done with the basic things you are good to go.
I showed another big Aunty of mine (also a mum) the convo and she said its nonsense. That 22 is still too young to be engaged, that she doesn't really know things yet and she's not as matured as she thinks she is but personally I think maturity is a personal thing.
I'm sorry BUt I see some of my big aunties and somethings they say amazes me because I would never say that and it's childish, so what you see as maturity might not be how someone else sees it so now I want to know, what age do you think is okay for a woman to get married?
Hmmm for me ,maturity is not by age ooo,it all depends on the people involve,if u think u re ready, then u re ,,,,but I will tell that marriage is an institution for the matured minds....u can never be too old to make mistakes neither are u too young.
ReplyDeleteWhat ever one is best for her. Humans always feel obligated to just be shrink their opinions upon your life. But in my case I don't live to please them I live to please God. So if it is 22 that she wants to get married who am I to come in between that and speak negatively of a happy union
ReplyDeleteAge is not and should not be a determinant here. If those involved are ready and matured enough to get married why not show them all the support. Theres so much going on in the world today and the marriage institution is having its fair share of the evolution so to say or has the older generation forgotten how they got married at 18/19/20? By that i mean our parents. Education came and slowed things down abit..but now that we have got a hold of it and can finish the basics early, why not. Some of us got career to pursue and would want to stall abit but whoever thinks they are ready should be supported fully!
